Buddha teaches us about building affinity and living in harmony with others..
The four virtues:
1. Giving
2. Speaking with kind words
3. Conducting oneself for the benefit of others
4. Adapting oneself to others
Most people lives and focus on their own comfort and success in order to satisfy themselves, often unwilling to put others ahead of ourselves. Also, strive to be be better than others and often measure the quality of their livings by comparing with others around them..
Selfishness, people prevent from being generous to others and make all kinds of excuses for not to give..
1. Giving
"It Is Better to Give Than to Receive"
Once there were two men from the same village; one was misery, one was generous. They both happened to pass away at about the same time. In death, they appeared before King Yama, who was about to pass judgement on their past actions. He told the two men, "I'm goin to let both of you be reborn into the world. One of you will always be giving, while the other will always be receiving. Which one would you rather be?"
The misery person immediately spoke up, "I want to be the one that will always be receiving". The generous man doesn't mind being the one who would continually be giving, and so he nodded in agreement.
King Yama said to the misery man, "Since you choose to be receiving from others, you will be reborn as a beggar. This will give you plenty of opportunities to be on the receiving end." Then, he said to the generous man, " You will be reborn into great wealth. Share your wealth with those less fortunate and give alms."
Giving is not necessary have to be money or possessions. It can be; help someone who has fallen down, show concern for others or when we give compliments.. The acts of kindness which do not cost anything and which we are all capable of performing..

credit to: The Book "How to Develop Happiness in Daily Living"
I read that book and feel that wanted to share with others, and so I posted it here.. People often see those cover of the books are not interesting and don't bother to see the inside.. Anyway.. thanks for read it patiently and then spread to others as well ^^
When I read that, of course I was thinking of myself.. Thinking that.. "What about me?" Always ask questions to myself to determine whats good and bad ><
However, I am still normal human though.. One of my friend ask me for something but I just ignore "Terrible huh".. I was thinking, why should I because that friend does not help me when I need help for something, thats why I do the same to that friend.. Thats what normally people do in this world.. I knew I were wrong but I was unhappy for what that friend treat me like that.. Sigh ~
I realise that friends around me do not alert their own mistake but focus on others' mistake.. Once you make a mistake, they will remember it forever.. They would not remember how helpful you are.. I believe most people only remember how badly others treat them instead of how good others treat them..
There is too much stories in my life..
Anyway.. to be continue with; 2. Speaking with kind words ..
